🔸🔶🔸 Hello dear people! – welcome to the December edition of “What’s UP?” – the newsletter of the neighborhood union Lobeda Solidarisch 🔸🔶🔸
👓 As always, first a look back:
In November we invited the residents of the shared accommodation on Matthias-Domaschk-Straße to an assembly and enjoyed delicious borscht together, reviewed what we have already fought for together, and considered how things can continue. For this, we tried several times to invite people through conversations on-site, which, unfortunately, was made very difficult by those responsible. Now we are thinking together in our planning meetings every 2nd Tuesday about how the resistance can continue. ✊🏻
📢 We also moved our activists’ meeting on November 25 to the Holzmarkt on the occasion of the Day Against Violence Against Women and TINA* persons, joining the rally organized by the Network Against Femicides Thuringia. We listened to many different speeches and cultural contributions dealing with what an end to violence against women and TINA* persons could look like and what we can do to achieve it. What else is planned? 📆
📚 At the time of our activists’ meeting on 09.12., a educational event will take place about how LOS! is structured as an organization – which meetings and working groups exist! If you’re interested in joining and becoming active, this would be an ideal moment! See you at 16:45 in Emil’s Corner!
🎄 On 10.12. you’ll find us with a crafting booth at the Lobeda district festival “Let Lobeda Shine!” in the KUBUS. Together with many other Lobeda actors, we help shape this festive event – come by!
🫱🏼🫲🏽 And of course, we continue our counseling on asylum and residence law, tenancy law, and social law. It takes place as always on Thursdays from 16–19 and Fridays from 9–11 in Emil’s Corner! 🤝
On 11.12. the counseling unfortunately has to be canceled once. 🧘🏽♀️ Otherwise, we will also be taking a small winter break from 22.12. to 04.01., and then in the new year we’ll be back for you with fresh energy! For example already on 06.01. at the activists’ meeting – come by if you can imagine helping to organize education, events, counseling, or resistance in the shared accommodation!
📢 By the way: If you need translation 🗣💬 into another language or childcare 👨🏽🍼 for one of our events, that’s no problem. Just send us a short message beforehand and we’ll take care of it!
✨ All that’s left is to wish everyone who celebrates wonderful holidays and a reflective time, and to come safely and healthily into the new year! We are grateful for the time together in 2025 and look forward to a combative and moving year 2026 together! 🎆
