Hello dear people from Lobeda – here is the latest issue of our newsletter “Was ist LOS?”
A little earlier in the month this month, but there’s an announcement you won’t want to miss!
Lobeda solidarisch has been nominated for the taz newspaper’s Panter Prize! It’s all about civic engagement, so take a look at the website www.taz.de/panterwahl and vote for one of the groups! We are happy to be part of it!
What has happened at LOS recently?
The outside area of Emils Ecke has been transformed into a herb garden! Thanks to the planting campaign, the small beds are blooming and growing! Refreshments were also provided, with an ice-cream parlour organized by our members – we hope you enjoyed it and that some visitors learned more about LOS!
And now what?
The next Kitchen for All is coming up! It will take place on 25.5. at 5 pm, as always in Emils Ecke! There will be Ukrainian borschtsch! If you’re curious, just come along – and feel free to bring your children, we’ve thought of a few games and craft ideas! If you’ve always wanted to cook with us at such a big meal, then you can simply come along from 2 pm to chop and cook! Either way, we look forward to seeing you!
Some LOS members will also be organizing 2 small parties for their neighbourhood! On 23.05. – Neighborhood Day – and on 27.05. – Diversity Day – from 5 to 8 pm in Lobdepark! Nice conversations and a cool drink are guaranteed – come along!
Would you also like to plan events, education or advice? Then come to the active meeting! The next dates are Tuesday 20.5. and 3.6. from 16:45 to 19:00 in Emils Ecke! Yesterday there were a lot of us there and for the first time we interpreted the entire meeting using translation technology! It worked really well and was very motivating! See for yourself! If you are unsure about joining a new large group on your own, please contact us so that we can get to know each other on a small scale beforehand!
And of course we’ll continue with our counseling on asylum and residence law, tenancy law and social law. As always, it takes place on Thursdays from 4-7 pm and Fridays from 9-11 am in Emils Ecke!
