Hello dear people from Lobeda – here comes the latest edition of our newsletter!
A little recap – What has been happening recently?
On February 22, we had our Open Meeting, where we exchanged ideas about the upcoming federal election and how we want to shape our daily lives with the neighborhood union, as well as what projects we want to plan at LOS! There were many exciting ideas: from herbal walks, ice cream sales to cinema in Lobeda… To plan these things in detail, we have our activist meeting (Aktiventreffen) every two weeks on Tuesdays from 16:45 to 19:00. If you haven’t been there yet and want to join, come by! The dates in April are the 8th and 22nd – we look forward to seeing you and involving you in the action planning!
After the Open Meeting, we had our “Kitchen for All” event, where we served delicious falafel, lentil soup, and tamarind juice. If you’re interested in the recipes, check out our Instagram channel (@lobeda.solidarisch)!
And what’s coming up next?
On Saturday, April 5th, starting at 11:00 AM, we’ll take a city tour through Lobeda together. The focus will be on the history and development of the neighborhood! Join us to learn more about Lobeda and enjoy some fresh spring air while we’re at it! We’ll start from Emils Ecke!
Also, look forward to our bike repair workshop on April 12th from 14:00 to 18:00 at Emils Ecke! Just bring your bike and used spare parts, and together we’ll get our bikes ready for spring! Afterward, we’ll cook something delicious to eat, and then we can relax together after our work.
And of course, we continue with our consultation on asylum and residence rights, tenant rights, and social law. As always, these take place on Thursdays from 16:00 to 19:00 and Fridays from 9:00 to 11:00 at Emils Ecke, except on Good Friday (April 18th), as our advisors will be taking a short Easter break.
